8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Health Services office is open from mid-August through mid-May, but closed during summer, campus holidays, and weather events.
Appointments
Appointments are preferred, and can usually be arranged for the same day. Visit 8 Perkins Student Center or call the office at 610-396-6075 to make an appointment with a nurse or nurse practitioner. Appointments that are not cancelled or rescheduled will be subject to a no-show fee.
Eligibility
Any student enrolled at Penn State Berks can be seen at Health Services.
Providers
We have a nurse practitioner available to see students at scheduled times on Monday and Wednesday during select hours.
Conditions treated
Health Services' nurse practitioner can provide care for many of the same medical problems you would see your own primary care provider for. Common conditions the Health Services office treats include:
- Cold symptoms
- Bladder infections
- Pink eye
- Respiratory infections
- Sore throat
- Digestive disorders
- Rashes
- Menstrual complaints
- Sprains and strains
- Minor burns
- Asthma
- Women's health concerns
- Allergy symptoms
- Ear infection
In addition to providing care when students are ill or injured, a nurse practitioner can also perform physical exams, including women's health exams. In most cases, Health Services can even provide the medications prescribed during your visit. Office staff consists of registered nurses and a certified medical assistant.
